Paris & A Dream Come True

We took Olympia on a Paris trip a few weeks ago. It was a wonderful trip & a dream come true for me.

It has always been my dream to bring Olympia & Summer to Disneyland together as a family. Disneyland is simply so magical. The happiest place on earth. How important is this dream to me? Big enough to be on my dream board.

Initially, I planned a budget of  $10,000 for a Disneyland trip but with some careful planning & a bit of luck. We managed pretty well with less than $3k (Inclusive of air tickets, accommodation & yes, tickets to Disneyland)

As for the date set, well, I guess it's better  to achieve my dream than never.

Our round trip flight to Paris was on Qatar - the world's best airline. Yes, you heard me right - Qatar Airways. Olympia is a seasoned traveler. She really knows how to entertain herself on the plane.

Did I mention, she's a seasoned shopper too?

It was just a few days to Valentine's Day & I decided to surprise the wife by wearing something special for this trip.

The wife has always been saying Paris is a city of romance So I tried to be romantic. Held her hands while pushing Ollie in the stroller, walking along the Seine River. It was a wonderful walk. Except for the fact that we had forgotten to bring our gloves along for a temperature of 4 degrees.

While the wife was enjoying her shopping, I took Ollie out to see some fancy cars. Zoom Zoom....

We were really lucky. Every 1st Sunday of the month (until March), there is free entry for Louvre Museum . Long queues stretch for as far as 3km. No kidding. Fortunately, we've Ollie in the stroller. Within 10 mins, we were in the Pyramid.

The highlight of this trip was to take Olympia to Disneyland! The papa managed to get a good deal online. €47 per pax for 2 parks. Disneyland & Disney Studio.
Olympia's 1st theme park ride - Slinky Dog Zig Zag Spin!

2nd ride for the day was It's a small world. She totally love it! Look at her smile. She was smiling through out the whole ride!

We ended the day at Disneyland at Mad hatter's Tea cups. Somehow, I know, this will not be our last visit to Disneyland.

A visit to Paris will not be completed without visiting the Arc de Triomphe. What about Eiffel Tower? It is visible from many parts of Paris that we were at so we decided not to visit it this time round especially with all the pickpockets & scams we've heard. Next trip soon anyway! We almost fell victim to 2 pickpockets just outside Louvre Museum!

This girl really knows how to shop. She managed to find another Hello Kitty to add on to her current collection of Hello Kitty.

vous revoir Paris
